For shorter projects:
For shorter works, such as blog posts and marketing products (brochures, ads, and the like), contact me for a fee estimate.
For longer projects:
For longer works, such as book manuscripts, I charge by the 250-word page.
My regular fee, per editing pass, ranges from $9.00 to $12.50 per 250 words, depending on the complexity of the edit.
I charge a higher rate when, to meet your deadline, I must postpone other projects, work nights, or work weekends. That rate, per editing pass, ranges from $11 to $15.50 per 250 words, depending on the complexity of the edit.
Note: Editing cost can be higher if you want me to edit many citations, endnotes, footnotes, names of publications, an index, or a glossary.
A hold-date payment puts you on my calendar for the date we settle on for me to start editing your work. It has not been a problem to shift that date around to work with my clients’ writing schedules. The hold-date amount is $250 or 15% of the total editing estimate, whichever is greater. Before editing starts, half the average of the estimate range less that hold-date payment will be due. Those payments are applied to the final fee. All this is detailed in a work-for-hire agreement.
How to pay:
You can pay me via PayPal, check, or a bank-to-bank pay service.
